Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) students cover a comprehensive and competitive programme taught by PUEB faculty. The mission of the programme is to develop and disseminate knowledge of the theory and practice of economics and business in a globalized world. A multitude of political, social and cultural forces influence economic and business decisions in the world. In order to understand these forces, students must learn about and understand the numerous challenges facing contemporary businesses, individuals and economies. These include resource scarcity, economic growth problems, financial crises, climate change and inequality.

The BBA programme presents classical business administration studies in a global context, combining them with political science, international relations, sociology and management science.

As part of the Bachelor in Business Administration programme, students can choose a specialization in the area of international business (International Business and Management - IBM), or in the area of global economics (Global Economics - GE). In the first year, students are introduced to subjects from both areas (introductory courses), and from the second year on, having gained enough experience, they choose the specialization that best suits their interests and career plans. Both specializations contain common themes such as cultural diversity, sustainability in economics and business, qualitative methods or international economic relations. Choosing one of the pathways means gaining an additional specialization that enables students to expand their professional opportunities: they can develop their career in the world of business (IBM specialization) or international economics and politics (GE specialization), in international organizations, consulting firms, including multinationals, and in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Career opportunities.

The BBA programme first and foremost enables students to broaden or deepen their knowledge of economics and business, and to continue their education in Master’s degree or postgraduate programmes.

The BBA programme develops the skills necessary to begin a career as:

  • highly qualified professionals in various types of organization (various companies, non-profit organizations, public administration units, local, regional or national government) - mainly the GE specialization,
  • managers of operational, financial and analytical departments in multinational corporations or in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating on a national and international scale - mainly the IBM specialization,
  • business people running their own companies in domestic and international markets - both specializations.
